Many of our Sasol colleagues have been personally affected by the devastating floods caused by Hurricane Harvey. For those affected, please continue to prioritize safety and know our thoughts are with you and your families.

If possible, please contact your supervisors regularly to update them on your status. If you cannot reach your supervisor, call (337) 494-5301 and report your status to one of our call center operators. These operators can also direct you to your Sasol Human Resources Business Partner.

Sasol has taken steps to assist our employees who are dealing with the storm's impacts. This webpage is intended to provide a one-stop-shop for resource information and assistance provided by the company to Sasol employees as well as resources available through other authorities.

  • Short-term incentive payments made on Wednesday, Aug. 30, for U.S. payroll employees and Thursday, Aug. 31, for expatriates. This is earlier than the originally scheduled Sept. 12 pay date. Details of STI payouts will still be communicated to employees via confidential emails from Sasol USA Total Rewards in mid-September.
  • Interest-free loans of up to $10,000 will be offered to affected employees. Interested employees should contact Karla Edwards in the Lake Charles Human Resources department at 337-310-8456 for additional information. ( PDF )
  • Relocation and logistics service support, including support with identifying alternative available housing and transportation accommodations, is available. Interested employees should contact our TLC Services Coordinator at or call 469-568-5900.
  • Sasol's Employee Assistance Program offers employees and family members confidential information, resources and support related to dealing with feelings of worry, disruption, grief and loss. Employees should contact IBH at 800-395-1616 anytime (24/7) to speak one-on-one with a professional.

      • Following is a summary of key federal disaster aid programs that can be made available as needed and warranted under President Donald J. Trump's disaster declaration issued for the state of Texas 
      • Assistance for Affected Individuals and Families Can Include as Required:
        • Rental payments for temporary housing for those whose homes are unlivable. Initial assistance may be provided for up to three months for homeowners and at least one month for renters. Assistance may be extended if requested after the initial period based on a review of individual applicant requirements. (Source:  FEMA funded and administered.) 
        • Grants for home repairs and replacement of essential household items not covered by insurance to make damaged dwellings safe, sanitary and functional. (Source:  FEMA funded and administered.) 
        • Grants to replace personal property and help meet medical, dental, funeral, transportation and other serious disaster-related needs not covered by insurance or other federal, state and charitable aid programs.   • To support our communities, the company has donated $25,000 to the American Red Cross to assist with ongoing recovery efforts in both Texas and Louisiana. 


In addition, Sasol has launched a SasolGIVES Hurricane Harvey Relief Campaign. The company will match 100 percent of donations that employees make to the American Red Cross through SasolGIVES up to a $500 maximum. These donations will not count against your yearly maximum contribution amount.
